First of all, to join in the fun, and see all the gorgeous art submitted for this challenge, don’t forget to stop by here!  I’ve tried and tried to figure out how to upload that blinkie thingie into wordpress to show it in a logroll, but it never works.  If anybody has a tip, I’d sure appreciate it.

Here’s my first one, and I will probably do another one. It took me several days to tackle this one because, while Crescent Moon is certainly a simple tangle to draw, I am very challenged by all the auras. Mine never come out the same size; so I took the opportunity to practice that. Lots of shading on this one, because I ran out of tangleations, and left a couple of spots blank, so tried to compensate with shading. It’s a ZIA, BTW, one-quarter sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch acid free smooth card stock.  Oh, yeah; and my last 01 micron pen started running out of ink on this one, so parts of it are done with 03 and 05 pens.  Off to the store to get more pens before I do another one.

Note: One of the tangleations I did on a curved string, the one with the centers filled with tipple. When I got it done it looked a lot like another tangle, but I meant it as a Crescent Moon, lol.

And here’s my second one.  It’s a zendala which I drew using a CD as a template. I call it Crescent Moon Pie.  On this one, I actually ran out of space to tangle before I ran out of tangleations.  Funny how that works.  Mood, setting, everything affects my drawing sessions.  I think on the first one I was so hung up on having to draw all those auras that it stifled my creativity.  It’s important to just relax and go with the flow I guess and not fret over the outcome.

I hope you’ll let me know what you think.  Now I’m off to view and comment on all the submissions.  I better get going, because there are over 60 of them already.  I’m going to try hard to comment on all of them. I know how much we all appreciate feedback on our art work.  However, I need to tell you that if you have a picassa account, the software will not let me comment.  Bummer!  I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Until next time, Happy Tangling!
